If you are trying to influence several different audience groups at the same time, you can’t afford to marginalise one group by focusing on another. It’s a challenge the Homes and Communities Agency Academy face.
They wanted to deliver a range of case studies, to improve the skills and knowledge of the sustainable communities sector, but they have a broad audience to connect with. Junction K’s approach satisfied the needs of each audience group, step-by-step.
First off, a quick video montage and written overview showed how relevant the topic was. Then, a separate paragraph on the project’s Background, Approach and Impact - satisfied the ‘general interest’ level. Each chunk linked to full details, so practitioners could immediately drill down into the facts and figures. A further page on Lessons Learnt provided a kick off point for anyone wanting to develop a similar project.
Working closely with HCA and our own industry expert, Junction K sourced a wide range of projects, wrote up the case studies and developed the website to deliver them. The site has already clocked up over 18,000 unique users. The case study showcase is providing a vital service in improving the skills of sustainable communities across the UK.
