Project: The Interactory
Client: Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust
How do you give visitors to an outdoor tourist attraction a richer experience? For the Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust this was a pressing question.
Over 400,000 people visit the bridge each year so there was clearly an audience, but adding information boards would ruin the integrity of this classy Victorian edifice.
Junction K solved the dilemma by targeting the devices people carry around with them everyday. We created an interactive guided tour specifically designed to play over mobile phones, hand-held computers or iPods. The tour opens up access to the bridge’s secrets; in the vaults, at the top of the towers, back through history and shows how it was built.
Users can digest the details through either: bespoke videos, audio or text & pictures - whichever they prefer. The tour can be downloaded from the bridge’s website, in advance; or accessed live at the bridge through wireless internet.
