How we started:
In autumn 2004, Junction K set out with a desire to improve how the public sector connected with their audiences. We knew there were thousands of excellent ideas out there and thousands more people eager to make them happen – all in the name of (at the risk of sounding a little sensationalist) making the world a better place.
But we identified a fundamental flaw. If you want to change what people do or how they think, you have to put forward an enticing, yet persuasive, argument. Unfortunately, some sections of the Public Sector weren’t renowned for clear language or penetrating communications.
Our goal was simple, to translate good ideas into concepts people could identify with.
Where we are now:
Several autumns later, we have sharpened our ability to communicate those ideals, and convert stakeholder or customer interest into action. Working on mainly large-scale projects, we deliver change by communicating over different media, using coordinated strategies - which we call Springboard planning.Today, this approach is relevant for organisations outside the public sector too, as we apply our experience to what commercial and third sector clients want.
We still want to make the world a better place – but we don’t think we’ve got a monopoly on defining what that should be.
